The best way to get Andy’s take is to read his book “Teaching For Life Change” (I think that’s the title). His basic approach: 1. Pick a compelling passage 2. Rub people’s nose in it…get it all over them. 3. make it stick…make it applicable. 4.) Give them one thing to do with it this week.

I agree with Mike…how does one go about figuring out what his/her teaching style is? I am expecting a 100 question teaching inventory with various categories that determine with you are a dictator or a substitute teacher

Hey, Kurt
Good stuff to think about – out of curiosity what were the different styles that Andy presented? Or is there a link to a resource regarding that so that I can do my own dissecting? I am both working with students and serving as teaching pastor at my church and I know that both areas require a much different approach to application and this could be helpful.
