I love Mr. Obama's attempts to lead our nation. But, with the same breath, I think we've made it such an impossible job. No one person can fulfill what the people demand. He's not a king. He's just a man trying to do the best he can. The thing I loved about Bush that most people never found enduring was that he just stuck to what he knew and was seemingly true to himself. Even though most people think he did a bad job, he was who he said he would be for 8 years. I can't imagine the agony being President must bring. So much to do, so little grace given. That's why I'm convinced that we aren't even getting the best or most qualified to run for office. What benefit is there in being President? It's a thankless job.
